Its a good show. Looking forward to seeing more(currently watched season1)

I watched the first 5 episodes. But, it was a bit too slow paced for me personally and I found it boring for the most part. Mae Martin is good in this though, I had never seen her before. She played the character well and it's always nice to see Lisa Kudrow. The show just didn't hold my interest to continue past episode 5.

I really like Charlotte Ritchie and was looking forward to watching this after seeing an ad for it a couple of weeks ago. I really, really wanted to like it because it does bring up real life issues in an honest way, but unfortunately the jokes fall really flat and feel embarrassing most of the time.

I came across this show by an interview with the lead. I checked out some trailers and reviews. I started watching and episode 1 was soooooo boring. The high pitched tinnitus squeal is just annoying. I'm on episode 2 and it's still boring. I thought this was supposed to be a comedy? I thought go t is to be romance? The only info to go on says summary is it's about a stand up comedian, recovering drug addict, and intense romance in everything - this is word for word lie except the lead is a stand up comedian.... Based on reviews it doesn't get better ever....

...it seemed that each episode got better and better after episode #1. I thought episode 1 just wasn't funny at all, but since the critical reviews were so good, and it's only 6 episodes at 24 minutes each, it was an easy watch. I'm glad I hung in there. By the time it got to the final episode, I was alternatively tearful and laughing out loud, which I don't do much of either when I watch shows.

So glad to have had this during corona. I loved the moments of humour and the unique way of looking at addiction. I also found the way George handled her internalised biphobia really realistic. I had a lot of empathy for her. I've just heard there is a second season and I can't wait!!

Honestly, there's nothing appealing or interesting in this. I felt the language was unnecessarily crude and the characters banal. I love crude when it works - Peep Show being a great example- but this falls flat every time. Don't waste your time
